About UPMS
"The greatest gift we can give our children
are the roots of responsibility
and the wings of independence”
Maria Montessori
Our school is licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
The UPMS provides an individualized stimulating environment for children, allowing their growth to unfold naturally. The skills and habits cultivated in a Montessori classroom endure throughout a lifetime. At UPMS, we develop customized learning plans for each child, based on Montessori principles. We assess each child's educational needs carefully and design a plan that aligns with their unique pace and learning style.
Within our nurturing environment, children foster self-esteem, independence, and confidence. Through social learning, they acquire essential teamwork and problem-solving skills. Our Montessori curriculum consistently provides constructive learning experiences, nurturing children's social, academic, and physical development.

Independence
Nature has given children a desire for independence and self-development.
We have created an environment that fosters the conditions for them to fulfill their needs and talents to the fullest.

Individuality
We value and appreciate each child’s unique individuality. We refrain from making comparisons. Our focus is on fostering each child's individual victories and helping them reach their highest potential.

Respect
It is our core value. Within our school, both adults and children are granted equal respect and conduct themselves with dignity. When children experience respect, they learn to respect themselves and others in return.

Support
We empower children to engage with one another and offer mutual support. They learn to navigate conflicts by seeking compromises and exploring alternative solutions. Naturally, they also develop the art of being great friends.

Inspiration
We've fostered an environment that encourages a child's innate potential to blossom. We actively seek out and support each child's unique abilities Our mission is to ignite and nurture their development.

Personality
We consider each child's unique characteristics, their individual pace, and the sensitive periods of development. This is precisely why Maria Montessori's ideas and her method resonate so deeply with us.

Our Programs
This year marks our school's 10th anniversary. Over this decade, we've gained extensive experience in connecting with children and their families. We've continuously evolved, expanding to new branches, embarking on numerous field trips, and participating in many fascinating excursions. We've organized an incredible number of memorable celebrations that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of our cherished families.
We always provide enriching experiences that captivate children and enhance their lives.

Practical Life
Through everyday tasks and activities, children build confidence as they learn to take care of themselves and explore the world around them. These activities promote the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance, structured thinking, and independent work habits.

Orff class
Playing musical instruments (xylophones, metallophones, drums, sound, noise and rhythmic instruments), theater, playing in an Orff orchestra, dancing, drawing, crafts.

Language
Developing strong spoken language and comprehension skills not only boosts a child's vocabulary and confidence but also lays the foundation for early writing. Our specialized materials empower children to express their knowledge effectively. As a result, our students are both prepared and inspired to excel in reading and writing.

Montessori
At our school, we place a strong emphasis on nurturing each child's individuality, considering their unique traits, personal pace, and sensitive periods of development. This is why Maria Montessori's philosophy and method resonate so profoundly with us. We've structured our environment and educational program in alignment with these principles.

Sensory
Our carefully designed materials are designed to demonstrate qualities such as color, size, shape, length, texture, and sound, refining a child's senses and enabling them to organize diverse sensory experiences. Many of these materials also serve as tangible representations of mathematical concepts.

Art
Faces smeared with paint, happy eyes and shining smiles – these are the kids at an art class. We create, fantasize, develop creative vision, individuality and good taste.

Math
Montessori math materials are thoughtfully designed to allow children to “see” and “feel” concepts such as numeration, quantity, place value, fractions, and operations. This strong and hands-on understanding forms a solid foundation for later problem-solving and abstraction.

Cultural
Subjects include botany, zoology, science, geography, history, music and art. To the probing, questioning mind of the Casa child, these areas are fertile fields for exploration and an extremely rich and varied curriculum is presented through real life experiences and an exciting array of Montessori materials. In addition to the basic Montessori program, children participate in Outdoor Education, Field Trips and a variety of School Visits.
